Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone give a recommendation for an automatic driving instructor?  I've scanned the current recommendations but they seem to be only for manual cars.

Johnny, in the early years we had a tradespeople group. In that group there is a recommendation for an automatic car instructor from 2011. No idea if he's still in business, but maybe worth a try.

I started learning to drive over 20 years ago and have had so many instructors I've lost count! The only instructor who's managed to get me to pass (within a very short amount of time - just a few months) is a man called Chris. He's North London based, very patient, reasonable price per hour, and has been teaching for years. His number is:079 7373 7870.

Just to add, Chris is no longer a driving instructor

Quite honestly Johnny, I drive both manual and automatic cars, and I would say that ANY competent driving instructor would be able to teach automatic. Automatic is easier to learn, with no gear-changing distraction, and I can't think of anything that would require a specialist teacher.

Specialist car needed though.....

True :-)

Took his question too literally.

thanks everyone, I'll try Chris - looks like he's still in business

I learned to drive in an Automatic at Driveland, Langham Parade N15 - behind Turnpike Lane Bus station. I think the guy who taught me was called Carl, a really nice guy. 0208 888 3373. This was about 8 years ago however...
