Businesses and Services Selling on HoL

Advertising on HoL is strictly controlled so as to allow the community side of things to tale a lead. 

However, as well as offering limited display advertising, we do allow selling on the forum in the following two circumstances:

1. Through a post started by a business as part of an advertising package. Approved posts will always carry a pink ribbon at the end of the post:

2. In responses on the forum, by Business Supporter members. This might happen, when for example a member posts about a need for a plumber. The profile pictures of Business Supporter members will always carry a small shopfront logo in the bottom right hand corner:

If you see other businesses or trades starting posts or responding to forum posts, they are not approved. If we're told about them or see them ourselves we'll remove them.
