We are trying to help my god daughter get her first car , she is looking for a mini or beetle convertible (bit specific I know ) for around £2,000 just wondered if anyone was thinking of selling a car on the off chance .

If it's a BMW Mini (the new ones) the parts are very expensive for them. Just something to think about.

Thank you. I have told her to get a cheapo run around for the first year but she is adamant , luckily my husband is a mechanic so he can help her out with parts and fixing.

Most new drivers are. Sister in law did the exact same thing and then realised what a mistake it was 8 months later.
