This month's Cinema Club for the Over 60's film is The Finest Hours starring Chris Pine, Casey Affleck and Ben Foster
Synopsis
In February 1952 one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast of the US struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with freezing temperatures and 70 foot high waves, 4 members of the coast guard set out to rescue the more than 30 sailors trapped on the rapidly sinking ship.
The venue is The Vue Cinema, Hollywood Green, 180 High Road, opposite the Wood Green Underground station.
It will start at 12:00pm so please get there by 11:45.
The price is £3.29 which includes tea or coffee and a biscuit.
There are also facilities for the disabled.
The Cinema Club for the Over 60's runs on the last Monday of every month while The Vue offers a weekly Seniors Club, every Monday and Thursday, but times may vary.
I hope to see you there.
