Comments re. new Hampden Rd / Railway approach development

Hi HOLers,

I am late in getting round to viewing the latest proposed development at Hornsey Railway / Hampden Rd planning ref: HGY/2016/1573 after receiving a letter about it.

The Consultation deadline is 20th June 2016 - very soon - and the development is HUUUUUGEE 174 units / up to 14 stories.

I recall the last proposal which I think was 11 stories and the furore surrounding the height of it then (2013)... 

Although there are comments on the portal there are not that many so please take the time to review the development and have your say this weekend! It is a major change to the area / infrastructure, a massive development that will really impact our neighbourhood.

Is there a HOL thread about it?? I don't have much time but I couldn't find one

There's a lot of stuff from 2013 application ref then was: HGY/2013/0470 - many of the points stand

Very poor design and little context and character analysis.  I've objected on Bulk, scale and mass, layout, amenity, poor architecture and materials failing London Plan policies 7.7 C (b-h) and NPPF paragraph 59 & 64.

I have objected too.  It would tower over the whole area.  Housing fine but why not in keeping with surrounding buildings?
