Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across an image taken at the junction of Wightman and Cavendish, in an article about vehicular air pollution.

I'm hoping the Wightman closure will remain long enough for my lungs to clear.  Apologies to all those wishing to use Wightman for access.

Why not keep the closure? It worked for Hermitage Road and Harringay Road/ Gardens. Both were similar north-south commuter rat runs.
I must say when I once mentioned it as an idea when the closure was initially discussed I was met with stunned looks of pretty much "you are joking aren't you?" The meeting quickly moved on. I actually wasn't in terms of completely closing it to HGVs.

Hi Emina,

Given the history and sensitivities around this issue, Wightman residents are very pleased to have your support.

I think you need to read this.

Maybe this and this too...

Why do you think that?

I was talking to Emine and I guess a little frustrated that I have been vocally calling for Wightman Rd to be closed off for nearly ten years and been called names for it.

It's the hardest temptation to resist the "I told you so", so please allow me to say "He did and he was correct!"
