Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Congratulations to @SelbyTrust - shortlisted for a Sustainable City Award

Wonderful to see Tottenham's The Selby Centre being recognised for their environmental work which includes encouraging local people to grow their own veg, a social enterprise to recycle old wood, bringing old bikes back into use and working on reducing energy consumption. You can read more about their green hub here.

The Selby Trust in Tottenham has been shortlisted for the City of London Sustainable City Award in the Building Sustainable Communities category. The National Sustainable City Awards are given to organisations which have demonstrated excellence in sustainable development and is managed by the London Sustainability Exchange.

Green Hub Coordinator at the Selby Centre Moussa Amine Sylla said: "I always believed that the planet and the humans should be the first beneficiaries of any enterprising venture. Each business should start with those elements before even thinking about money. This is exactly the sentiments that the Green hub at the Selby Centre have given me . Being short-listed at the Sustainable City Awards is an immense recognition for this Project."

Fingers crossed for success for this great community asset at the London Sustainable City Awards ceremony at Mansion House, London on the 3rd March 2016
