Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Council Tax - here we go again
It took me few months (!!!) to get CT Discount some time ago and only got it sorted when Zena Brabazon kindly got involved.
Now, I have been emailing for Council Tax and Benefits section to cancel my discount - since 9th June and of course apart from automatic reply, no response whatsoever.
I have no time to be calling them and hanging on for an hour or more to speak to someone. I work in the hours they are open. And I will not be going in to any of their offices. Again because I work. In is 2017 - most things can and should be available to be dealt with online.
Any suggestion to get it sorted/who can I contact please?
All I need is the discount to be cancelled and CT recalculated without any discounts
Honestly, Haringey Council is absolutely the worst for getting anything sorted.

I've found that email seems to be the best way to get through - though it takes weeks for them to reply you are at least on their 'pile'. Since this is a case of you wanting to pay more, I'm sure the council will catch up with you eventually, and I wouldn't waste my time sitting around in the council office if I were you.

Use twitter, got mine sorted in about three hours from first enquiry to new bill being issued!

I wouldn't mind waiting on the phone, but when I call it always says they're too busy, that I should call back another time and hangs up.

I used the contact form on the 'my account' section of their website - included my phone number and email address.
Got an email acknowledgement of my enquiry and, to my amazement, a week or so later someone from the CT dept phoned me and sorted it! Amazing as the phone system at one point announced that 'they were too busy to answer' and cut me off. Don't blame the Council, they'd had their budget cut by 70% by the Tories so every part of their service is 70% understaffed. We're being punished by those who voted Tory.
