Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Come down to Railway Fields this Sunday morning and experience the magical sound of birdsong at dawn. Birder Quentin Given will be offering tips on identifying birds by their song.

It's a prompt start (the gates will be locked again once we're all gathered), meet at the gates at 4.30 sharp.

We'll be offering a light breakfast (tea, coffee, pastries) afterwards in the cabin.

This is a Free event but donations to the Friends group will be welcomed.

P.S. If wet weather is forecast, please check our website the night before for confirmation that we're going ahead

I finally made it to this last year and it was well worth the early start - even if only to find out that, as I suspected, the main culprits waking me up at dawn were robins, blackbirds and wrens. We did hear about nine other species though - each gradually joining the cacophony as the light increased. Also interesting to learn that there is a difference between a 'call' and a 'song'...
