Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello

This is from your neighbours a couple of stops up the train line, at Alexandra Palace Station.

We hope even occasional station users and passers by have enjoyed the gradual transformation of the station platforms into a community garden, over the last 18 months. We haven't finished yet, though. Among our many plans for 2018 we have been given access to a plot adjoining the station and we would love to turn it into a rose garden. This will be a lot of work but there is enough will to make it happen. We need your help though. We have applied to Aviva Community Funding for a grant and we need to secure enough votes for our project to get to the next stage. Could you help us please? Everyone in the UK gets 10 votes, that you can split any way you choose (we know there are lots of great local projects but we'd love it if you could include us in your support). You do have to register on their website first but it is relatively painless and they don't send you marketing emails. Five minutes of your time could really make it happen for us. You can see more about our project and (hopefully) support us with your votes, here:

Many thanks, on behalf of the Friends

Giles

Using my phone I just totally failed find the button to actually vote. Please post instructions.

Sorry to hear that Jonas - and thank you very much for taking the time to try. There is a green button at the top right saying Login/register. Unfortunately you do need to supply an email so they know it's not a double vote but they don't use it for any marketing emails or pass it on to anyone. It's a pain but relatively quick. Hope it doesn't put you off and thanks for helping making the borough a tiny bit greener!

I've just given you my 10 votes!

Thanks so much - we really appreciate it!

I gave you 10 not long after your posting Giles, I use that station and walkway quite a lot, and the Starting Gate sometimes.

Thanks Martin - we have a few plans for that walkway in 2018 (ideally to stop it flooding when it rains but also to make it look a bit better). We're big fans of the Starting Gate too. Thanks for your votes!
