Gas pipework stolen

Got home from work today to find an IMPORTANT GAS SAFETY WARNING NOTICE: it seems someone has stolen the exterior outlet pipe, presumably for the copper. And so National Grid have capped off our meter. No idea how they knew.

I heard the noise this morning but assumed it was someone trying to steal my bike.

So just to warn everyone to be alert to this sort of theft, particularly those (like us) who are alongside the New River (that's where they stole it from).

Off to the Salisbury now to warm up.
