Adults training for the YMCA Crouch End 10km event on Sunday 15th May can join the run training sessions every Tuesday evening, from 29th March, 7.15pm for 7.30pm, for 7 weeks until race week. Sessions are led by leaders from the YMCA’s Event Training Partner, London Heathside Athletics Club, based in North London.
Sessions are geared towards new and improving runners, each week building up running fitness, distance and intensity, until race day. Runners receive plenty of top tips on efficient running technique from a team of friendly run leaders from ‘North London’s friendliest running club’.
Alison Harrow, Heathside’s Crouch End 10k Session Coordinator says, “10km can feel like an awfully long way if you are new to that distance! So we offer training sessions to prepare you for big day. Running with others motivates you to push that bit harder than if you train on your own. But don’t worry! Sessions are fun and friendly, and suit a range of fitness levels. So get running fit with Heathside!”
Weekly run training sessions for the YMCA North London adult 10k event take place for 7 weeks every Tuesday evening from 29th March until Tuesday 10th May. Meet in the YMCA Fitness Centre (entrance on Elmfield Avenue) at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Sessions will suit beginners to improvers. Sessions are £4 per session per person.
