Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Give bees a helping hand in this hot weather and make a bee pond

Bees require quite a lot of water to survive.

When it's hot out they may spend just as much time looking for water as they do for nectar...but we can help them quite easily by making a "bee pond" out of a shallow dish and something for the bees to stand on like stones or even an old plug.

Here's one I made earlier

Oh I never thought of that.  I do have a pond but never noticed any bees on it so I will do this.  I have dishes and I have stones.  Thanks for advising!

Great idea.  Never crossed my mind :/

But what with having a bubble bee's nest under my shed now (YAY!!).  I will make sure to look after them

Excellent advice. On it.

Thanks for the tip, will make one today!
love watching the few bees that pop by our balcony herb garden, will do this thanks
