I've just had lunch at Open Kitchen in Green Lanes, almost opposite the ill-fated Hanci and it was what most people are looking for - really tasty food at a low price

Open Kitchen first opened its doors at the beginning of the year but a fire closed them down and they have only just reopened.   3 lines of delicious buffet food offered chicken and lamb, rice and pasta and lots of vegetables including a better choice of meze than is usually available in Green Lanes It was early afternoon so they weren't very busy and I was able to talk to the pleasant efficient staff and owner who had been head chef at Efes and worked with London's best-known Turkish culinary expert Huseyin Ozer

I'll certainly visit Oprn Kitchen again    Sally M
