Bags of Taste is opening in Haringey in May/June. We run free cooking courses for people struggling with the cost of. food. We teach recipes that cost just £1 a head, or less and aim to change how people behave around food. We’re looking to recruit a local Programme Head to run all aspects of the course, including some teaching. You don’t need professional cooking qualification, just be very passionate about food, be organised and be good with people. We will train you up on the rest. We’re a great organisation and have successful courses already running in Islington, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Southwark, City of London and Hastings. Please follow the link to our ad. to find out more and hopefully apply http://www.bagsoftaste.org/career If you have any questions, please message or call me Annie 07771937030.
if you know of anyone who would be nterested, please pass message on, tweet, or post on fb. Thanks for your help.
Great idea, maybe a £1 meal will help us out of the obesity crisis caused by the mass of cheap food avalable that some people 'struggle' to afford.
This is aimed to help people on a tight budget to eat fresh and healthy food, made from scratch using easy recipes. People who have only a few pounds per week to spend on food.
They can still go to Zam's chicken if they want to but hopefully they'll realise that cooking can be affordable, easy and healthier in the long run.
