Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I was passing through Finsbury Park on Saturday and I passed, as many of us must have, a couple of the memorials that line the route I took. I see such memorials in many places, testament to accident or murder victims.

It made me think that once the flowers have become brown and tatty, are they still an appropriate memorial. How long is an appropriate length of time before they are removed, and who is brave enough to be the one that removes them?

Not sure about how long but it would be nice if the donors would remove the paper or plastic wrapping first.

Well I guess long enough is when the mourners who put them up there, decide to take them down or replace them. Or when the wardens decide to take matters into their own hands

Grief as many know is a very powerful emotion and a tragic grief like this particularly so. So I guess it's a wait and see game. Meanwhile they may serve as a reminder which is why they were put there in the first place
