Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

On the way back from our walk today we nosed around the works along Eade Road and learned that the National Grid are starting work on the huge London Tunnel project in Harringay. Here's a view from the top of the old Maynards Factory:

Here's a photo of the notice explaining what's happening and attached is a pf with more detail:

Thanks for posting this Hugh... it's amazing how many tunnels there are under London. I wonder if there's a map of them somewhere??
oooh yeah Jeremy. Tunnels... maps... mmmm... I'd love to see some sort of 3D representation of all the tube lines. Surely someone must have done one but I had a bit of a rummage around on the internet recently and found nothing apart from lots of people saying they'd like to do it.

Yes, underground maps seem to be kept under wraps even though openstreetmap.org does plot the tube lines: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.5789866447449&lon=-0.07806... You can see the dotted line from Seven Sisters station. Also plots the disused train line.

All the data on Openstreetmap.org is collected by Joe Public and so is free to use, unlike the OS maps which are created by public money to be held under Crown copywrong.
