Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm at it again: running the marathon for the London Centre for Children With Cerebral Palsy

This Christmas, I've been mixing seasonal excess with training for the London Marathon, which I am again doing for the London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy.

It's an institution of which we can be particularly proud because it is Haringey-based and it is the only one of its kind in London, providing both therapy and education up to Key Stage 2. It specialises in "Conductive Education" which is particularly effective and which you can read about on their website. http://www.cplondon.org.uk/about-us/conductive-education/

WIth their new premises in Coppetts Road, Muswell Hill, they have exciting plans to increase the number of children they help, and to expand their services in order to help adults with problems that can be helped with conductive education - in particular people with multiple sclerosis and Parkinsons disease. The money we raise will help the Centre to achieve this.

If you would like to give via my Justgiving page, and to see how the training and fundraising are getting on, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/David-Schmitz1

Last time, I raised £1609 and ran the distance in 6hrs 3 mins and 43 seconds. This year, I hope to raise the first figure and lower the second.

While I have paid, in the past, most of the cost of the Centre's place in the marathon, I've decided this year to pay it all, and to pay it up front: which means that anyone who gives will know that every penny will represent a clear profit for the Centre.

Thanks for reading this.
