LED Street Lights

I've recently noticed that our street lights have been replaced with LED bulbs. I am a massive supporter of reducing costs and the replacement cycles of our street lights. LEDs seem like a great option!

My only concern is the brightness of the lights. Has anyone else noticed how bright they now are?

They now shine through my lounge curtains at night with a harsh blue white light.

Hi Jamie, the main discussion is here but other posts are popping up too, which you'll find under Hugh's tags. Most people are happier with the downward lighting direction & power savings but, not so much with the high rating & harshness or colour of the LEDs. They could have gone with a warmer LED!
