Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello! Can anyone recommend a good local driving instructor for a nervous lady in her thirties who has learned before but never quite managed to pass a test? Your suggestions will be passed on *cough*.

I can recommend Dorian West Driving School - 0333 772 0267-which is well priced and operate in the Harringay, Finsbury Park, Hackney and Tottenham areas. Dorian is very calm and has been teaching my 20 year old daughter and I have also had some refresher motorway driving lessons with him. Thoroughly recommended! See link below.

Hello! I'm also a nervous lady in her thirties, also currently learning with Raj whose details I got from here. Only a few lessons in but enjoying it and learning lots (if a bit nervous about how I'm going to deal with all the local traffic restrictions in my next lesson...) His website is http://gurudrivingschool.com/

Mike at Drive Friendly has taught me and he's kind, patient, and a overall good teacher. He's at drivefriendly.co.uk.

I tried to contact several local, independent driving instructors and found I wasn't getting any response, so in the end I got fed up and went with the AA - my instructor was Jason Duncan and he was fab.  I have pretty much the same driving profile as you, and Jason was really good at tapping into the things I was scared of and turning them round for me.  His number is 07747530571 and if he doesn't pick up (because he's teaching), text him and he'll get back to you pretty quick.  Feel free to mention me.
