Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Nature notes: six photos of Nature taken in the Harringay Passage

As some know, one of my mantras is that every walk is a nature walk. It’s always possible to find the natural world creeping into neglected corners, colonising the margins, spilling out from private into public realm. Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the Harringay Passage.

Here's a few times I was stopped in my tracks as I wandered home;

A small cranesbill clinging to the top of a barbed wire brick wall;

Creamy white elder blossom overhangs into the Passage;

Grape leaves, perfect for foraging, creep over the wall;

Pretty pale yellow roses form a canopy for the pedestrian;

Purple and white blooms nestle amongst sweet smelling rosemary in a brick planter;

Wildflowers, like red campion, thrive in neighbourhood planters, a food bonanza for local pollinators.

That barbed wire must be legally too low if you were able to get that shot or did you use a step ladder?

I couldn’t possibly divulge my methods.
