Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We've noticed that one of the chimney pots on our roof is tilting at quite an angle, and need to get someone to come and look at it and advise us as to what to do. Its on the section of the back roof between our house and our neighbours - there are two sets of two chimney pots, and its the smaller one nearer the main body of the house.

Interested in whether anyone else has come across this sort of issue and what you did. And any recommendations as to someone could take a look at it.

Thanks.

Are you talking about the clay chimney pot or the brick stack??

The chimney pot.

I am guessing it's a clay one? We had the same problem and got Horncaslte and sons round and they got up there and fixed it within half a day.
They are a local firm just off Phillip lane and have been going for years. Good professional company

Yes, it is clay. I've seen lots of Horncastle signs and vans around, thanks for the tip.

Interesting - we had Horncastle round to quote for some flashing recently, and we have a problem with the chimney stack rather than the pot, but they said they couldn't do anything to chimneys.

They did ours because it was the pots that were fAlling to one side not the chimney stack.
I believe Alison has a problem with the pots not the stack...

I appreciate that, I just thought it was interesting that they can fix pots but not stacks.  I guess they don't have to be brickies to be roofers.

I know what you mean, as I had a problem with an external pipe and they told me that they couldn't fix it because it was a waste pipe when they had just done all the other outside pipes! I thought pipes were pipes!!!
