My dance teacher is starting a beginners Tribal Belly Dance class at Omnida studio in Turnpike Lane details here. If there's anyone on here who's looking to get a bit more fit and do some exercise, I'd really recommend it. It's way better than the gym - you get the exercise, but its fun, the music's good, and the people are lovely (and all different shapes, sizes an ages) - no snotty people looking down their nose at you if you're a bit wobbly. Honestly I'd spent my life avoiding any kind of fitness activity and I signed up as a new year's resolution seven years ago and I'm still at it. I've met some brilliant new friends, I'm in better shape, and I definitely feel healthier and more confident.
Here's what we got up to last term - some of these girls had only been learning 6 weeks!
