Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

From the GRA to Robin Payne at Haringey's Licensing team:

Robin,

Now that the gambling shop on Green Lanes is up and running it would be useful to know about its licence terms and conditions.

Saturday night /Sunday morning at 1 AM it was fully functioning doors wide open lights flashing just like at a fairground inviting desperate drunk souls in.

I find it quite strange that it has such a late opening licence also that it is allowed to have its doors open all day and night it is such an interesting looking operation with all the flashing lights that young children are going to want to enter.

It really does not belong in a residential area - at the end of Brighton pier probably!

I look forward to hearing from you

Regards,

GRA

1am ! Have they got a kebab shop in there or something? That cant be right, surely?
They are contravening the terms of their licence which were to close at 11.00 and that they were required to keep doors shut, they have a self closing door system, supposedly.

This needs urgent attention, possibly from the police?
A wee correction there, apparently. They're not contravening any conditions of their gaming licence which allows them to operate 24 hours. But they are contravening conditions imposed on them by the Planning Inspector which Alison outlined in her post that Liz helpfully linked to.
