just as well Brouhaha is opening again tonight!

Very dashing, kind of a glamorous Freud's
Tuesday provided more excellent acts to kick off the week, Kadija led the way.

A very receptive and personable band, where you walk away feeling things are ok with the world, great talented people.

The gist of the building work seems to have been to remove the low ceilings, and return to the original height, allowing better ventilation and light through the lovely top windows that were obscured.

Images below are the sound check, hence no audience, and the main bar area.
Ps-the kitchen is open again.

I love the new look, but also thought there might be some safety issues with such a quick ripping out of ceilings and walls!

And on our Tuesday night visit (didn't see you Matt!) we did watch as a piece of the new unfinished internal porch fell on a girl eating pizza. It wasn't a big piece of wood or particularly heavy so what was more concerning was that the manager wasn't in the slightest bit perturbed and didn't notice that, after reporting it, the couple walked out before finishing their meal they were so upset... not a great show of customer service there...

Sorry to hear about this, I will ask further. One partner isn't that forthcoming, the other an ex chef is more personable, he's more involved in the music.

I was there for the sound check, on route into town, then caught up with the bands after the gig.
I took some pics to show a freind how it had changed since her time as area manager, when it was Mr Q's, while the other end of the spectrum was the Lock Tavern, Camden.
