Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

My old Epson D78 finally died and I invested in a Canon Pixma which was dirt cheap except I have now discovered why....the replacement ink hardly lasts any time and  is only available as an expensive brand, unlike the Epson the ink of which cost pennies. I now want to buy one which allows cheap replacement inks. Any suggestions?

Phillip, you should be able to find plenty of unbranded alternatives for Canon printers. Which model is it?

I bought a Pixma MG6350 some years ago as a general purpose desktop machine for scanning and odd-job printing. It replaced a trusty old HP which did the same mundane tasks well. My frustration with the machine was that in gaining added sophistication over my previous one, everything seemed ot take longer. Sometimes warm-up from stand-still can take an age.

Its a Pixma MG 2450....any help most welcome...

Cartridge People, Ink Factory and Cartridge Save all do 'compatible' inks for this printer. I cant comment of the price. Maybe it's still too high. I rather got the impression when I look that per per page costs are higher on newer printers than in older ones.
