Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This is Rabbit Awareness Week where you will find great information on the welfare needs of happy rabbits (such as not being confined alone to a cramped hutch) and the importance of neutering. Companionship is crucial to a rabbit, yet 57% of pet rabbits live alone. If you know anyone who owns rabbits or thinking of giving a home to pet rabbits, please encourage them to look at the Rabbit Awareness Week website to read about the basic welfare needs of rabbits and lots of information to ensure rabbits are happy, as many live in poor conditions.

There are over 67,000 abandoned rabbits every year. There are thousands of rabbits in rescue places needing homes, such as Rabbit Residence Rescue and National Animal Welfare Trust

Wood Green Animal Shelter are highlighting the Buddies for Bunnies campaign and they have also described ideal rabbit accommodation including a fun cartoon video on the welfare needs of rabbits.
