Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It's all  my fault.

After weeks of vacillation I finally got the car aircon serviced yesterday.

This morning I look at the weather forecast for the next few days and it shows temperatures about 8 deg lower than last week,  plus maybe some rain.

I always thought that, with my luck, I should take a car to some drought-stricken country like Ethiopia and wash it, thereby guaranteeing instant rain

I always thought you had supernatural powers John.

And Sainsbury's finally have stock of fans!

Don't worry - it wasn't your fault. For the first time ever I took my car to have its air-con recharged yesterday.

No need to apologise John, you've actually done everyone a favour. Aircon boosts fuel consumption and pollution, more of which we don't need.

I was wondering if anyone else suffered from the pollution as much as the heat of the past week or so. When I came in from outdoors my throat felt raw and as for the contents of my hankie - best not to go there.

I confess I may have a role too. I finally managed to find a cheap paddling pool after the North London Paddling Pool Shortage Crisis last weekend.
Sorry all.
