Still space for performers at the Fairland Classical day on June 25.

On Saturday the 25th of June there will be a classical music day at Fairland Park and we're looking for local people to participate. This FREE event  from 4pm - 10pm will start with musical theatre, aimed at smaller children, where the audience dress up and participate in a musical show based on a piece of classical music.

Following on from that there will be a variety of performances, and musical stories, getting more grown up as the evening progresses, along with community participation  - we invite anyone to come perform something, kind of an open mic for local classical musicians.

The evening closes with a concert performance by a really fantastic piano / violin / flute / guitar ensemble.

We're getting a grand piano at the park for the event along with a variety of other instruments, and opportunities to try them out, our usual Fairland Park event very reasonably priced refreshments, some tables and chairs for those who like a seat, and plenty of space to spread out a blanket on the grass.

This is the Saturday following the summer solstice so it will be day light well into the evening, its also the day the final result of the EU referendum will likely be announced, so come celebrate / commiserate the result with friends and music in the park!
