Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Good evening all

We had our Black Refuse bin stolen from the front of our yard this afternoon by a dark skinned medium built, average height male with dreadlocks.  He then proceeded towards Ducketts Common with it.

It has the word Lausanne Road (our street) written on it in white paint.

If anyone happens to see it around the area, please let me know.

Hi,

There is a seemingly abandoned wheelie bin at the bottom of Effingham road, lacking lid.

Cheers, Jacob

Thanks Jacob, ill drive around there when I get home tonight to see if its still there, and if so, if its ours!

Went and had a look, unfortunately its not ours.  Thanks for the info tho Jacob.

Yeah, thinking about it afterwards I felt it maybe was unlikely, as this one was full and would have been heavy to run away with... good luck finding the right one!

Funny thing is, ours was full!  Not sure why someone would take a full refuse bin, strange to say the least.

We have just had our black bin stolen as well from Umfreville Rd, Monday night or early Tuesday. Very annoying. I think new ones are £30 from the council.

They are £50 from the council.  We have rung Veolia as we have a police reference number and we will find out tomorrow hopefully if they will replace ours for free.

Please share the result

Honestly would you believe life has turned to this, we will soon have to put locks on our bins. Crazy

i had my recycling bin stollen a year ago, luckily thanks to here I found an abandoned one. Now my bins  are completely covered in red paint with my address on

Life hasn’t turned to this, but Harringay has.

We have to pay £30 for our replacement which should turn up in 2 weeks.

Until I read this thread it had honestly never occured to me that anyone anywhere would be interested in stealing a BIN.

Wonder if they're being used to hide something as a dead drop / stash, which is easier to slip in but needs more time to fish out and so they just take it away?

Still weird!
