Summer Holiday Fun - activities for children at Bruce Castle Museum

The excellent Bruce Castle Museum  on Lordship Lane N17 will be running their programme of  *free* local history related craft drop in activities over the summer:

  • Sessions are supervised by a facilitator
  • Suitable for children 5-13 years

All children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. No adult admitted without an accompanying child.

Sunday 24 July Tactile Tower
Using mixed materials design a Bruce Castle tower picture with a difference


Sunday 31 July Scented Sweets
Learn about Barrett’s Sweet Factory and create a range of scented sweets (not edible)

Mysteries of the Manor

Wednesday 3 August Picture This 

Find out about the mystery of our 1686 painting and paint your own picture of Bruce Castle

Thursday 4 August Wonderful Wilbur
Learn about our museum mascot Wilbur the Wyvern and create your own Wilbur puppet

Explore the our Tudor round tower and create a printed tower artwork

Thursday 11 August Clay Creations

Friday 12 August Terrible Taxidermy
