Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Thank You Shef for Giving us all such Good Garden - Can anyone Offer any Plants?
I bumped into Harringay trader Shefik Mehmet this morning as he was attending to his latest bout of greening Harringay's high street.
After spending several days preparing and planting the strip of land alongside the Allison Road church, Shef has moved on to the neglected garden behind the New River sign.
His next task will be the garden in front of the church. Whilst it got some good plantings a few years back, it's in need of a bit of TLC. However, the funds to buy new plants have dried up. If either, you'd like to chip in or have some planst you can spare that would do well in that spot, please pop in to Cheriee hairdressers on Green Lanes (between Duckett and Mattison) and talk with Shef or his daughter.
Shef gives a huge amount of time gardening Harringay's Green Lanes. Anything that can be given to help him out would be much appreciated.

Friends of Harringay Passage have a budget for plants and we're happy to give Shef some money from this.
How do we tell him? It's a case of he buys the plants, gives us the receipts and we refund him.

Peter Bedford Housing Association , Clissold Hub in Clissold Rd (the one where the Clissold \leisure centre is) Have a small Plant Rescue Nursery from donated plants - We will be there today (Saturday ) and you are welcome to come and take whatever you would like for the garden .I am sorry I am unable to bring them to you as I do not have transport at the moment. I will be at Clissold Hub from 12 onwards today and you are most welcome to come and choose plants for the gardens in Harringey .
