Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The following comes from the Harringay underground news wire, therefore please be aware that the source cannot be revealed and the information below clearly has to be treated with caution until planning permission is sort, if indeed it ever is;

There is an intention to redevelop the site on the corner of Green Lanes and Frobisher Rd into housing. It is currently understood this would incorporate the land holding the old cinema (now a church called The Prince of Peace), the old Queen's Head pub (currently Dogtas, a Turkish furniture store) and the car sales yard on Green Lanes.

The understanding is this would involve demolishing the Queens Head & the old cinema. The site is at least twice the size of the area being re-developed on the cnr of Willoughby & Hampden Rds, where Paul Simon are putting in 60 residential units.

It is understood at the moment that the developers intend to seek planning permission by August 2016. The 'Queens Head' building is not listed, nor is the old cinema.

Apart from the above little else is known. If anyone else has news on this over the next few months please let us all know.
