Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi All, A mature tree was blown down in the wind storm last night and up rooted on the green area near my house in N15. Any idea who I should contact to assess damage or remove?

I'd just call the Council's general number and let them direct you - 020 8489 0000.

As Hugh suggests. Especially if the uprooted tree appears potentially dangerous - for example if it's close to a road or footpath and might be blown about; or move again because it's propped up by other trees.

I'm still using the number given some of the Council's website pages - 020 8489 0000- This number is also for the Emergency Out of Hours service.  (Some pages give -020 8489 1000-

If there's no potential danger, you can report it online.  Or use your mobile with the Council's free App - which lets you report a range of problems - including with trees.

There's a general advice page about storms and high winds also on the Council's website.

It would be helpful, Norah, if you could comment very briefly on the response you get - how prompt, helpful, informed, or effective it was. This could help other people in their dealings with the Council. And also help Council staff - and councillors - who take an interest in the feedback on their services.
