WANTED: Advice on good fireguards (for baby)

Hi there, does anyone have any good recomendations for fire guards?

Our baby is getting mobile, and seems to have an interest in the fireplace (in which we have a gas fire). So it's time to get a guard.

Not sure what to look for really. Argos seem to have a cheap one, but it has mixed reviews.

We had one like this, which was great because it covered the marble fire surround on the floor too - a prime place for babies to hit their heads! Do make sure you screw it too the wall through, I didn't at first & within hours my daughter had nearly pulled the whole thing on top of herself.

Thanks for the tip - our fireplace is a similar shape, with a step, so this sort of thing looks suitable.

Will check gumtree for 2nd hand bargains.

If anyone else has any others they can recommend, that'd be fab. Always helps to have a few options when looking!

Oh that's good to hear a second recommendation for the same one!

£10 would be great, I take it I'd be best coming by car to collect? (not something I can carry with a pram I'd imagine!)
