Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
What is the council doing?
Is it just me but everywhere I look the council seams to be making some very strange unpopular decisions from wasting however many hundreds of thousands on a review on Wightman road and then seam to be offering a non meaningful change and then there’s the charging more for parking permits/ charging for brown waste, (don’t even get me started on the HDV) I am not really political in any way but there must be a way to hold the council to task? Or even get an understanding on how they made the decisions they do. The reasoning I see seams to have so many holes in it. Firstly I thought decisions were purely made for budgetary reasons but then you can see some huge waste of money projects they come up with such as the Harringay traffic study. It turns out they never had the budget to do any of the proposals so what was the point of the study in the first place?

The study was to shut up the nasty people around here who hate cars and vote for the lib dems.

The council has had - I think - a 40% cut in income in 8 years. And yet the public still want the same services.

LB Haringey must still be full of unconsilidated real-estate, barely used offices or buildings that could be flogged off or converted for crisis housing.
