No, not the World Health Organisation, but dozens of commercial interests, mainly to better serve up ads to you. That's fine if you don't mind.
For some of the rest of us, there's Privacy Badger
It's an extension for Chrome and Firefox browsers.
One local website has 51 potential trackers and Badger has now blocked 11 of them!
At least initially, PB does seem to cause a bit of a slow down. For those interested, there's more info here.
