Dunno but there has been an undercover police op tonight on top half of the ladder as well, now the heli has joined in.

I did wonder - four marked police vans screamed past me heading north up Green Lanes at about that time... Clearly there was more to it than just an assault with a bottle.

Not necessarily Paulie. Police approach to gbh in a public area seems to be in go in hard at the moment with as many resources as possible. Been doing this all summer. They're live situations which maybe developing into a bigger operation by the time they get there ... or maybe not. There's a tougher approach to knife crime & possible terror incidents will always be at the front of their mind, esp around transport/shopping hubs. Best to be on the safe side.

So lots of police vans 'screaming' about the place doesn't necessarily mean 'major incident' .... although it might. Others on here have suggested following their twitter feeds, if concerned/curious as they normally use these to update/inform.

There were people in hazmat suits cleaning up outside McDonalds this lunchtime, area cordoned off by police tape.
