young and old unite to ask Haringey - get out of fossil fuels

Students at the College of Haringey, Enfield and NE London (CHENEL) Maral Vakil (third from left) and Rachel Mudikela (second from right) joined with veteran environmental campaigners Meg Westell (left) and Carmen Irizarry (right) and tutor David Dane on Thursday 10 December to support the divestment petition to Haringey Council (see photos).

The petition calls on Haringey to join a growing band of local authorities, universities and charities by taking its pension funds out of the most destructive fossil fuel industries like coal and tar sands. Already over 2300 people in Haringey have signed the petition.
