Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This steam railtour over the T&H was booked for Mayflower, but she failed last week, so WCRC diesel haulage was looking likely but this morning Steam Dreams website says that Ian Riley's Black 5 45407 is substituting. Timings still not issued. Provisional times were Upminster 09:45 and 10:40 at West Hampstead.

Thanks Glenn, had been wondering. Mayflower was due to wake up Wednesday morning's commuters with a trip to York, but that will be diesel-hauled instead.

South Tottenham 10.15, so add two minutes for Harringay Green Lanes. Timings here and at Open Train Times here (an alternative to Real Time Trains, recently sporadic at showing excursions, though Network Rail is the data source).

Please find attached a copy of the revised BGORUG press release which gives the timings between Upminster and Willesden Junction High Level. I think this is the first unassisted Black 5 over the line, but if a B1 can manage on her own, so should a Black 5.

Season's Greetings

Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to seeing a Black 5 on the line. Chris

I hope attached is a photo I took at Crouch Hill station as 45407 hauled The Cathedrals Express towards the West Country. It looked splendid and is a welcome addition to the diminishing roster of locos available for steam charters,

Hello Glenn. Here's a shot of the loco going over Green Lanes. I have one of Tornado from a couple of years ago going over this bridge as well if you need. Chris
