Shot looking north west across Seven Sisters Road, south of the railway bridges. The church stood on the corner of Playford Road. About 30 years after this photo was taken the Astoria would be built at the far end of the terrace of shops on the right.

Comment by Hugh on April 6, 2018 at 12:45: Yes, that whole area has been massively changed. You can read a little about the Pooles Park area of Finsbury Park here. Essentially, Islington Council tried to erase it and start again!

I just noticed one of his instruments up for auction.
