New church (of course).
Cars making most of wide pavement (as Eddie pointed out).
I don't know what Victorians in the foreground put their rubbish in but the addition of wheelie bins, brick walls to enclose them and the consequent need to put bollards in to prevent cars parking on the remaining space hasn't enhanced the street scene.

It wasn't that many years ago that the ground floors of the buildings in the forrground were turned into residential accomodation. I remember till a few years ago the old shop fronts were adorned with some wonderful old tiles.
