Also Jelly Jam making irrelevant "crazy old cat lady" comment because in my other post I have tried to help a local cat is uncivil. I'm not old.

They are the ones making uncivil comments. Not I. I'm just talking about my local marks and Spencer's shop and highstreet.

So somebody is allowed to tell me to leave my home because I expressed an opinion that differed from theirs, but I'm not allowed to say that making that comment makes them look foolish?!!!!


I am called uncivil for rebuffing a nasty threatening remark?!

Visit WG M+S today. Looks very sad.

Just one staff member on sales desk. When I asked what had happened to cafe and Outlet floor was told it is permanently closed. Seems odd when the Outlet section was always busier than the ground floor and the cafe always full with a queue. Should have become Outlet only with cafe. Very few people in the store. No signs explaining anything to customers. Expect better of M+S. Seems like a poor business decision to me

Sad to hear you didn't have a good time of it in there, Lauren.

I always used to go there before I went elsewhere, and was almost always able to buy what I want, at a good price.

Thank you for taking the time to email M&S about our decision to close the top-floor Outlet operation in our Wood Green store. I understand you’re disappointed by the decision, and feel M&S haven’t communicated this effectively. I’d like to assure you we didn’t make this decision lightly, and it came only after looking at the Wood Green store's Outlet department thoroughly. More and more customers are using our Outlet website, www.mandsoutlet.com, and we’re managing our clothing stock better than ever. This means we’re sending less stock to our M&S Outlet clearance stores, so we need fewer than we have before. Having reviewed all the possible options, we’ve therefore made the difficult decision to close our Wood Green store’s Outlet department. The cafe will also be closed, as we couldn’t move it elsewhere in the store without taking away space and reducing choice in other departments. In that way, only the top floor operation would be affected, and the rest of the store would continue to trade as before.
