Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am sure there is a simple obvious explanation but can someone please excuse my ignorance and put me out of misery

I found these egg shells in different places in my garden today- although I know they or at least a couple have been there awhile

They look like your normal chichen egg shells, - ? maybe neighbour but why has small hole only broken out of it, also 1 plastic egg nearby them

Here's one possible answer - and if it's an egg thief it might explain the plastic egg too!

I found a whole and intact egg buried in my garden last weekend. I left it where I found it and the next day it was gone???? I don't know if it was crows or the more pesky foxes at work.
Wow, if it's crows you can develop a relationship with them, feed them and they'll find gifts and leave them for you. Jewelry if you're lucky. They're not stupid, they look after those that look after them.

Leave another egg out on a frisbee and see what trade you get.

Snap! Found one in my potted Fuchsia, which confused the living daylights out of me. I presume it's the foxes who plagued our garden last summer...

Thanks for the info, so its not me going mad- no chicken hatching in my garden after all, foxes seem like the answer
